closely linked with the aims of the College.

AVENUES FOR PARENT INVOLVEMENT IN THE COLLEGE
PARENTS, if you would like to assist the College during school
hours, there are a number of different areas
in which you can help.
1. The Reading Program at Hoppers Crossing encourages students to read not only
the novels set for
class work, but also novels for their own pleasure and interest. Parents can
help students improve their
reading skills and comprehension of the novels by listening to their children
read and by discussing the
story with their child. Often this additional help can be vital in their
development.
2. The Integration Program. Parents can be involved in the
Integration Program by volunteering to assist
students in class. Students may require help in both academic and practical
classes. If you have time
available and would like to assist in this program, contact the College’s
Integration teachers. Classroom
teachers will be more than willing to guide parents.
3. The Canteen is always in need of parents to help in the
preparation and sale of lunches. Just one hour
per week would be a great help.
4. Working Bees. Parents will be asked to volunteer a few times
a year to assist the College Council with
some jobs around the College. If you are available when we advertise the dates
in Newsline, your
attendance will be greatly appreciated.
This policy relates to refunds to parents/guardians for payments
made to the College for services not fully
delivered. A refund may be given if a written request is received by the College
within 30 days of either
cancellation of a service or the student exiting the College.
CAMPS/EXCURSIONS

by the College then a full refund will be made.
If a cost has been incurred then the cost shall be covered by the monies
collected before a refund is made.

portion shall be refunded provided appropriate
exit documentation has been completed. The refund will be pro rata based on the
period of enrolment for
that year less any other outstanding costs owing to the College.
